Let Us Join Hands with the Global Majority

Sept. 9—One day after the 101st birthday on Sept. 8 of the late, pre-eminent American statesman, philosopher and economist Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr., the Schiller Institute convened an international online conference titled, “Let Us Join Hands with the Global Majority”—an event Lyndon LaRouche would have characterized as a crucial intervention into the “space-time spectrum” underlying the now rapidly unfolding tectonic shift taking place in world history. The conference was organized into two panels: the first titled “The Strategic Situation After the Historic BRICS Summit,” and the second, “A New Paradigm in the History of Mankind Is Taking Shape.” Featured was an exciting array of 18 speakers representing the Global South, including three of the BRICS nations, religious leaders, space specialists, retired military-intelligence veterans and members of the International Peace Coalition, as well as leaders from Europe and the United States. The purpose of the event was twofold: First, to make conscious to people around the globe that 85% of the world’s population—the Global Majority—is revolting against the rotten, evil, centuries-old colonial system, today’s “rules-based international order,” that has enslaved and destroyed the lives of billions of people—and that that Global Majority is now demanding a just new economic order based on the development of their nations for the benefit of themselves and future generations. This is reflected by the recent 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa where six nations were welcomed as new members of the BRICS, with another 40 nations anxious to join.

The second purpose, even more important, is to recruit those citizens of the collective West—increasingly oppressed and impoverished themselves—to join this revolt to defeat the “rules-based order” as the American Founding Fathers succeeded in defeating the British Empire. Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder and leader of the Schiller Institute, has characterized this uprising as a “once in a thousand-year event.”

What the conference made clear is that the conceptual basis for this tectonic shift in world affairs is rooted in the 50-year fight by Lyndon and Helga LaRouche for a just new economic order—what Mrs. LaRouche calls a New Security and Development Architecture—against the satanic financial oligarchy, centered in the City of London and Wall Street, behind the collapsing “rules-based order.” This includes numerous proposals over decades for the development of today’s Global South countries, but also the idea of using the American System methods of Alexander Hamilton, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon LaRouche to rebuild the rotted-out economies of Europe and the United States!

Will we succeed in recruiting citizens of the West to this revolution? In her keynote address to the first panel, Helga Zepp-LaRouche expressed optimism that we can succeed, but it will require a revolutionary change in the way people think:

So, there is all the reason for a culturally optimistic view for the future of mankind, provided we replace hatred, envy and resentment with love, generosity, and curiosity for the potential of the other cultures. We still have time to reset the axioms of our thinking.
