The Hallowe’en Summit

Oct.25—Here is the call to demote mankind, which we may ironically designate “COP1 Berlin 1942.” It is the words of Nazi Greenie Heinrich Himmler, Reichsführer of the Schutzstaffel (SS), a main architect of the Holocaust, speaking to a conference of SS officials in Berlin in 1942. It is quoted in The Law of Blood: Thinking and Acting as a Nazi, by Johann Chapoutot, Belknap Press, 2018, p. 27.

It is time to break with the folly of these megalomaniacs, in particular these Christians, who speak of dominating the Earth; all of that must be brought back into perspective. There is nothing particular about man. He is but a part of this world. In the face of a good storm, he can do nothing. He cannot even predict it.… Man must relearn how to see the world with worshipful respect. Only then will he be able to perceive things as they are: only then will he see to what extent we are caught up in a system [greater than ourselves].

Come 1945, Hitler’s Nazis had poisoned the fashionable word “eugenics,” beloved by the British royals and Privy Council, such that it could not be used in public any longer. Sir Julian Huxley, in founding the United Nations Educational, Social and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), said in 1946:

Even though it is quite true that any radical eugenic policy will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for UNESCO to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care, and that the public mind is informed of the issues at stake, so that much that now is unthinkable may at least become thinkable.

Thus, in 1948, Sir Julian launched the British royals’ “International Union for the Conservation of Nature,” at a conference convened by UNESCO in Fontainebleau, France. In doing so, Huxley said:

The spread of man must take second place to the conservation of other species.

Who pays the piper, calls the tune. “Zero carbon” means zero development for Africa, South Asia, South America. “The spread of man must take second place…” Make the Glasgow Hallowe’en summit “NOPE26.”
