PRESS RELEASE

Rachel Brown To Take On
Barney Frank in Debate

Sept. 7, 2010 (EIRNS)—Rachel Brown, a LaRouche Democrat challenging Barney Frank for the Democratic Party nomination in Massachusetts' 4th District, will challenge Frank in a debate at 7:00 p.m. this evening, to be held in the New TV studio in Newton, Massachusetts.

In pre-debate statements, Brown emphasized that she will be taking Frank to task for his consistent lies on issues of vital interest to the citizens of his district, and the nation. For example, Frank has stated that he opposed the repeal of the Glass-Steagall law separating commercial and investment banking, a law which Brown has insisted is crucial to reviving the U.S. economy. Yet, Congressional video testimony demonstrates that Frank supported the repeal, stating that "we gave the banks everything they've asked for."

The Brown campaign is also promoting a video feature about to be released by LaRouche PAC TV, entitled "The Takedown of Glass-Steagall." That film, to be 80 minutes in length, will soon be posted on www.larouchepac.com.

As featured in a national AP wire of Sept. 6, Brown is world-famous for her August 2009 confrontation with Frank over Obama's Nazi health-care policy. At that point, Frank declined to answer her question, saying that debating her would be like debating "a dining room table." However, tonight, the debate—albeit behind closed doors—will occur.
