Helga Zepp-LaRouche Keynotes Schiller Conference in Houston

Feb. 28, 2015 (EIRNS)—"End the Age of Austerity—The U.S. Must Join the BRICS’ Mass Movement for Development" was the title of the latest New Paradigm conference by the Schiller Institute, held today in the city of Houston. Former Congressional candidate Kesha Rogers opened the event, and, after two music offerings by the local Schiller Institute chorus, declared that the event was devoted to freeing Americans from the bestiality and slavery to money which was degrading them, and restoring the real moral core of the republic.

Mrs. LaRouche’s keynote address starkly contrasted the two dominant dynamics in the world today: the rapid motion by the BRICS nations of Russia, China, India, Brazil, and South Africa toward establishing completely new world economic order, versus the drive led by the United States, the United Kingdom, and NATO to try to rescue their bankrupt system of globalization by launching what they intend to be a limited nuclear war against those very nations of Eurasia.

During the course of her full presentation, which chronicled the development of the current strategic confrontation between NATO and Russia, Zepp-LaRouche made clear that such an evil intent was doomed to failure. Even if a nuclear strike could be limited, without a full retaliation by the Russians, the "nuclear winter" effects of such a barrage would move quickly to destroy human civilization on the planet.

But to stop this process, Zepp-LaRouche stressed, a peace movement will not suffice. Once you recognize that the cause is the drive for world domination by the forces of globalization, you can see that the solution lies in embracing the parallel economic system which China, in particular, and now the BRICS nations, are putting into effect.

She concluded with a broad vision of how America’s join the mass movement for development now centered in the BRICS, could begin to solve the economic needs of the United States—green the growing deserts of California and Texas, build new beautiful cities, create modern rail links join the nation together, reembark the United States into space.

I call on you to develop the passion to not only end World War III, but create a future worthy of the beauty of mankind, Zepp-LaRouche stated at the end.

Her speech was followed by dialogue, and presentations by Ben Deniston of the LaRouche PAC Scientific Basement team, and LaRouche western states spokesman Harley Schlanger.
