Transcript of Trump-Zelensky Phone Call Released—Investigate the Coup Attempt

Sept. 25, 2019 (EIRNS)—President Trump today released the transcript (based on notes by the National Security Council staff) of his July 25 call to President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, congratulating him on his sweep in the Parliamentary elections. As Trump has already publicly explained, he spoke with Zelensky about carrying out a full investigation of the role by the former government of Petro Poroshenko in the criminal effort to prevent Trump’s election and to run a coup after his election. Trump is clear:  “I would like you to do us a favor though, because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say CrowdStrike.... There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation.”  CrowdStrike is at the core of the nexus between British intelligence, Ukraine’s neo-Nazi government under Poroshenko, and the coup attempt against Donald Trump.

Trump requests that his lawyer, Rudolph Giuliani, and the Attorney General William Barr be in touch to root out this criminality. He included the fact that former Vice President Joe Biden had bragged about his intervention to get the prosecutor fired who had been looking into the $3 million Biden’s son was wiring out of the country. But, as Trump had already stated, there was no quid pro quo requested.

Trump also made clear what he thought about the Poroshenko team, telling Zelensky that the former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch “was bad news, and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news.”  Zelensky was delighted to hear that, responding: “It was great that you were the first one who told me that she was a bad Ambassador, because I agree with you 100%. Her attitude towards me was far from the best, as she admired the previous President and she was on his side. She would not accept me as a new President well enough.”
