Is a Confrontation in Washington, D.C. Planned for June 6?
June 5, 2020 (EIRNS)—Washington, D.C. is bracing for an enormous protest planned for Saturday. Peter Newsham, the district’s chief of police, reported: “We have a lot of public, open-source information to suggest that the event on this upcoming Saturday may be one of the largest that we’ve had in the city.” The Secret Service has enlarged the security perimeter around the White House. It now covers Lafayette Park to the north and the park known as The Ellipse to the south. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, a recipient of Mike Bloomberg’s big bucks, has opposed any use of the national guard, renamed a portion of a street near the White House as “Black Lives Matter Plaza,” and has had that slogan painted on a major street. This is presented as though Donald Trump is something like the original font of racism in the United States.
The stage is being set for a confrontation. Will we allow a tragedy to be performed? The needed victory is one of economic development, inspiration drawn from space science, and international cooperation.
