You Will Die for the Coup

Aug. 25, 2020 (EIRNS)—Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Michael Caputo put out a Twitter message on Aug. 24 displaying how the Washington Post headlines promoted convalescent blood plasma as a treatment breakthrough for COVID-19 for months—until the White House Coronavirus Task Force announced FDA emergency use authorization of it—and then trashed it in its pandemic update feature today.

On his Twitter site SpoxHHS, Caputo wrote: “Wait @washingtonpost what happened here?” and displayed the daily’s own headlines beginning with “Now”

Aug. 24—“Live Updates: Scientists Express Doubts about Coronavirus Treatment Touted as Breakthrough by Trump”

And beneath that “Before”

March 27—“Blood from People Who Recover from Coronavirus Could Provide a Treatment”

April 7—“Plasma from Recovered Patients Could Help Treat COVID-19 Until We Find a Vaccine”

June 18—“Blood Plasma from People Who Recovered Is a Safe COVID-19 Treatment, Study Says”

Aug. 3—“Four Former FDA Commissioners: Blood Plasma Might Be the COVID-19 Treatment We Need”
