Schiller Institute Holds Breakthrough Conference

Sept. 9, 2020 (EIRNS)—On the weekend of September 5-6, 2020, the Schiller Institute held a two-day international internet conference, entitled, “War Drive Towards Armageddon, or a New Paradigm Among Sovereign Nations United by the Common Aims of Mankind?” The keynote speech was delivered by Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche, who was joined on the first of four panels, by Andrey Kortunov, Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and other top experts.

Mrs. LaRouche, in her opening speech, said, “If humanity manages to overcome the present existing threat to our existence, this conference, and the mobilization of networks all over the world in contact with us, must catalyze crucial interventions to pull the world back from the edge of the abyss; the abyss of nuclear war and with that—and this is not an exaggeration—the possible annihilation of the human species!

“The purpose of this conference of the Schiller Institute, is to propose concepts and solutions for this present unprecedented crisis. We have, like never before, a combination of an out-of-control pandemic, a famine, the greatest economic crisis since the end of World War II, a pending financial collapse, and most deadly, the danger of a new World War, and last but not least, a deep cultural crisis. Because of the enormity of these interconnected crises, there cannot be a solution for each of these problems separately, or just addressing a partial aspect.”

She called upon all national leaders to draw upon “their best traditions, the loftiest ideas of their philosophers and poets,” to ensure that the Summit of the P5 nations, the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, takes place, and that it takes up global solutions to the strategic and economic crisis.

Director General Kortunov called for putting the securing of peace and arms control on the top of the agenda of major power discussion. He called for “civil society”—among the general populations—to forcefully demand arms reduction and dialogue from their leaders. Dr. Edward Lozansky and Martin Sieff of the American University in Moscow, and veteran American diplomat James Jatras, in their speeches, underscored the immediate threat of nuclear war and the necessity of the upcoming P5 Summit.

William Binney and Kirk Wiebe, formerly leading expert analysts at the National Security Agency (NSA) documented the fraud of the “Russiagate” charges against President Donald Trump. They also showed that their “ThinThread” anti-terrorism program at NSA had been purposely deactivated by corrupt leaders in the NSA—prior to the 9/11 attacks—and, had it been employed, it would have “100% prevented” the “9/11” attacks. Col. Richard H. Black (USA, ret.) warned that the recently published call for a military coup against President Trump by two retired colonels, together with open personal attacks on President Trump by retired flag officers, constitute breaches of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and called for those perpetrators to be prosecuted.

Later panels heard major presentations from many leading scientists in the field of thermonuclear fusion research, nuclear energy, and interplanetary space flight. In his major speech and dialogue with the audience, Dr. Bernard Bigot, the Director-General of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), expanded on the importance of ITER’s unique 35-nation collaboration to harness fusion energy, and he invited youth from around the world to enter this frontier in human knowledge. Dr. Sergey Pulinets, Principal Research Scientist of the Space Research Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, debunked the fraud of “Green Energy,” and urged governments to use the frontiers of space science not as a new domain of war, but as an electromagnetic window to revolutionize disaster control, agriculture, and weather forecasting.

In a full discussion of “The New Silk Road Becomes the World Land-Bridge,” experts from Ukraine, Spain, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, Ghana, the Republic of Congo, South Africa and many other nations discussed great infrastructure projects of economic development, as had been proposed by the late American scientist and statesman Lyndon LaRouche, as the immediate, irreplaceable peace-bridge to replace the imminence of war. Dr. Natalia Vitrenko of Ukraine, a former Member of Parliament, warned of the grave threat of a nuclear Third World War, and called for the conference to initiate a Committee for the Salvation of World Civilization, proposing that Helga Zepp-LaRouche is the worthy person to head it up.

The COVID-19 pandemic and worldwide health emergency was addressed by distinguished panelists led by Dr. Joycelyn Elders, the former Surgeon General of the United States. And additional features of the crisis, and their solutions, were fleshed out in discussions of the global hunger crisis and how to produce the food needed to solve it, including by American cattlemen and farm leaders.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, former NSA counter-intelligence experts William Binney and Kirk Wiebe will be presenting their view on the 9/11 attack, at an internet forum sponsored by the LaRouche Political Action Committee. The program is entitled, “The Choice: New World Paradigm or New World War.” It will include the presentation: “Why and How ‘9/11’ Could Have Been Stopped.” The forum starts at 2:00 p.m., EDT (18:00 UTC).
