WHO Director Tedros Cautions, ‘The Next Few Months Will Be Very Tough’ on the Pandemic Front

Oct. 24, 2020 (EIRNS)—The World Health Organization’s Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated on Oct. 23: “We are at a critical juncture in the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in the Northern hemisphere. The next few months are going to be very tough and some countries are on a dangerous track.” In a number of countries there is an exponential jump in infections, “and that is now leading to hospitals and intensive care units running close or above capacity—and we’re still only in October.” He also said that some of the poorest countries only have 5% to 20% of the oxygen needed to treat patients.
