The Ravages of COVID-19: Deaths Per Million

Nov. 30, 2020 (EIRNS)—In light of Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s emphasis on the difference of approaches in various countries to the pandemic, and the Nazi-style genocide carried out in Sweden, it is worth looking at the worst cases of deaths per million by country. There are various caveats to keep in mind in looking at such numbers, one of which is that there is clearly massive under-reporting in the most impoverished nations on the planet, such as in Africa, and in reality many of them might be among the dozen worst countries in the world if better data were available.

Country Deaths per Million (as of November 30, 2020)

1) Belgium 1,441

2) Peru 1,105

3) Spain 950

4) Italy 911

5) U.K. 871

6) Moldova 862

7) Argentina 856

8) North Macedonia 831

9) Mexico 828

10) Brazil 819

11) Chile 810

12) U.S. 809
