Schumer Draws a Bead on Trump, To Deliver Articles of Impeachment on Jan. 25

Jan. 22 , 2021 (EIRNS)—Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, whom LaRouche activist Diane Sare is campaigning to replace in 2022, announced that he had coordinated with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to deliver to the Senate on Monday the articles of impeachment against Donald Trump. Reports are that Schumer will begin the trial the week of February 8.

This crass attempt to destroy Trump’s potential 2024 candidacy, his involvement with the 2022 elections, and his movement in general, is as absurd as the first impeachment. Why pursue it? In addition to the attack on Trump personally, the Jan. 6 insurrection-that-wasn’t is a significant component of the “domestic terrorism” narrative being used to implement dictatorial thought-crime laws in the United States under the guise of “defending democracy.”
