The Summits in Europe Cannot Do, What the Schiller Conferences Can Do

June 7, 2021 (EIRNS)—This afternoon Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the president of the Schiller Institute, spoke about the turning point represented by the current crisis surrounding the summits in Europe. It is continually described as a crisis of military or geopolitical confrontation of the great powers—the United States and U.K. confronting Russia and China increasingly aggressively. But it is actually an economic breakdown crisis. It is marked by globally depressed living standards and productive employment, hyperinflationary pressure and the near-term threat of a financial crash; and making that unbearable for many countries, the demand of the financial oligarchy for a rapid “green” deindustrialization which loots living standards and productive capital.

“The strategic situation is extremely volatile,” Zepp-LaRouche said.

“What we should discuss, is that our continued focus on the Great Reset, and on the ‘Green New Deal’ or ‘Green Deal,’ is making slow but steady progress. That while at the beginning, whenever you would mention anything about London, Wall Street, financial oligarchy being behind the Green hype, people would become upset and say, ‘Oh, this is a conspiracy theory, I don’t want to be part of it.’ But because of steady organizing, we have made some inroads into layers who are concerned with climate questions, and they have now essentially begun to take it as quite self-evident that our analysis on the financial oligarchy being behind the Great Reset, is what is true.

“And we, therefore, have to escalate, because as we said in the beginning, the Great Reset can be defeated. We are in the middle of an economic and financial breakdown, where the discrepancy between rich and poor has become wider for years in every country on the planet. And if in that situation, where through COVID and the lockdowns, you already have an erosion of a lot of the smaller and medium-size industries, and a lot of jobs have been lost, a lot of people had tremendous hardships; if you now want to impose on top of that, the Great Reset, which means an escalation and an explosion of prices in energy and in food, coming together with a general inflation, you cannot impose that, even in the industrialized countries, without people starting to become hysterical. And if we escalate with our analysis that this is genocide for the developing countries, and it is the complete deindustrialization of the so-called industrial countries, then it can be defeated.

“And I think that is a very important component of the organizing for our June 26-27 Schiller Institute international conference. We are not organizing one, single conference. We are organizing a continuous series of conferences to build an anti-Malthusian alliance worldwide, until this is defeated.

“I think, once you get the different segments—scientists who speak from their point of view, why the ‘science’ that’s the basis for the climate change is a fraud; that we speak with the voice of the doctors, that this is absolutely genocide; that we speak with the voice of the farmers, that the world needs to double food production—if we get such a chorus, then I think that this Great Reset can become so discredited that it can be defeated.

“We have to get an alliance of people who will agree with Lyndon LaRouche’s perspective of the Four Laws, a new world economic order. Several Chinese publications recently echoed what we have been saying for a very long time: The old order is disintegrating; what will be the shape of the new order is not yet fought out, and not yet clear; but it is very clear that the new order and new paradigm must emerge, if mankind is to come out of this incredible situation.”

You can register and attend the June 26-27 Schiller Institute international conference, “For the Common Good of All the People, Not Rules Benefitting the Few,” at the Schiller Institute website.
