NASA Will Continue To Work with Russia on Integrated Space Flights

June 11, 2022 (EIRNS)—NASA issued a statement saying it intends to continue its cooperation with Russia’s space agency Roscosmos in regard to integrated space flights. “NASA continues working toward an agreement with Roscosmos whereby we would routinely fly integrated crews to the International Space Station aboard Soyuz and the commercial crew spacecraft,” the NASA press office told TASS in a statement.

This follows a decree signed on June 10 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin allowing Roscosmos to hold talks with NASA on integrated space flights. Also Roscosmos director Dmitry Rogozin said last month that a decision on seat swap flights with NASA would be made in early June after the completion of internal government procedures.

Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina is undergoing training in the United States to learn to operate the SpaceX “Crew Dragon” spacecraft, according to Rogozin.
