Ukraine Blacklist Honors LaRouche Movement-Related Figures as ‘Promoters of Russian Propaganda Narratives’

July 26, 2022 (EIRNS)—LaRouche movement organizers and conference speakers make up the opening 30 members of the list of 78 “speakers who promote narratives consonant with Russian propaganda” published by Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation as a modern-day McCarthyite blacklist. The list has been widely commented on in social media, on television, and in such outlets as UnHerd and Newsweek, although most reports go out of their way to omit mention of Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the second name on the list!

The “Center for Countering Disinformation” (its name demands quotation marks), which was formed in March 2021, published the list on July 14. It is the first item to be posted under the website’s “report” section since Russia’s February 24 launching of military activity in Ukraine.

The entire beginning of the list appears to have been compiled by scanning the lists of speakers at Schiller Institute conferences. The list opens with Graham Fuller, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, Jens Jorgen Nielsen, Col. Richard Black (ret.), Ray McGovern, Jim Jatras, Harley Schlanger, Alain Corvez, Shakeel Ahmad Ramay, Wang Wen, Tony Magliano, Jay Naidoo, Chen Xiaohan, Alessia Ruggeri, Ambassador P.S. Raghavan (who was listed as a speaker for the April 9 conference, although he did not actually speak), Saeed Naqvi, George Koo, Jacques Cheminade, Caleb Maupin, Jan Øberg, Li Xing, Ulf Sandmark, Gen. Leonardo Tricarico, Eric Denécé, Wolfgang Bittner, Sam Pitroda, Clifford Kiracofe, Diane Sare, Geoff Young, Mike Callicrate, and Jason Ross—all of whom are connected to the LaRouche movement and/or Schiller Institute.

Other prominent names include Clare Daly, Scott Ritter, Tulsi Gabbard, Jacques Baud, Jeffrey Sachs, Sen. Rand Paul, Col. Douglas Macgregor (ret.), former Brazilian President Lula da Silva, Eric Zemmour, Marine Le Pen, Glenn Greenwald, John Mearsheimer, and Kim Dotcom.
