Ukrainian Social Media Attack on Helga Zepp-LaRouche
Sept. 22, 2022 (EIRNS)—A crude attack video, denouncing Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche as a Putin mouthpiece that emits lies, was posted yesterday by a YouTube site called “VolunteerInfoN,” a site as of July 28, 2022. The 80-second video was produced by “Underdog Ukraine,” whose Facebook account dates back to April 2022, that produces juvenile “superhero cartoon” images of Ukrainian heroes. Their lead image is one of a muscular Ukrainian superhero smashing Putin’s chin, as the Kremlin burns in the background.
The 80-second video shows clips of Zepp-LaRouche with menacing music and the following subtitles:
“The Faces of Russian Propaganda
“In Germany, the Schiller Institute has turned into a Russian propaganda channel.
“Its founders promote the narratives that are consistent with what Russia says despite an officially declared neutral stance of this analytical center.
“Helga Zepp-LaRouche is the founder of the institute. She is one of the voices of the Kremlin in Europe.
“In her articles and speeches, the politician accuses the West of deliberately attempting to demonize Russia for decades.
“Zepp-LaRouche blames NATO for the war which the Kremlin started in Ukraine.
“The Alliance provokes Russia, says Helga Zepp-LaRouche.
“Instead of supporting Ukraine, world leaders should have listened to Putin and blocked its accession to NATO and the EU, says the Schiller Institute founder.
“Like the Kremlin, Zepp-LaRouche alleges ‘widespread Russophobia in the world.’
“Freedom of speech, she says, exists today only in Russia.
“Like most pro-Russian politicians, Helga Zepp-LaRouche speaks against sanctions on Russia.
“Do not let yourself be deceived!
“#stoprussianpropaganda”
VolunteerInfoN, as one might suspect, has an empty page in their “About” section, but one can quickly grasp their psychotic mindset. They followed the attack on Zepp-LaRouche by taking video from the city of Donetsk of dead and bloody corpses of women, bombed yesterday by Ukrainian artillery, along with a bombed-out bus, with the explanation: “Russian troops shell a market area in Donetsk.” Just out-of-control psychotic. (Imagine showing footage of concentration camp victims with a headline, “American troops slaughter Jews.”)
This doesn’t stop contributions to VolunteerInfoN from being handled by “Mir & Co Foundation,” an outfit founded in August 2014, with a November 2014 grant from George Soros’s “International Renaissance Foundation.” For eight years now, Mir & Co has been raising private donations to provide ammunition and equipment for Ukrainian forces. (In 2015, a major delivery provider in Ukraine, “Nova Poshta,” added Mir & Co to its list of groups that get free service—so the ammunition shipments qualify.) Mir & Co’s role in handling contributions for the startup “VolunteerInfoN,” is the only other lead presently as to the crude attack upon Zepp-LaRouche; but the SBU has been assigned the role of dealing with her “war crime” of strategizing and acting for peace.
