CCD Targeting of Zepp-LaRouche Propagated on Ukrainian TV

Sept. 23, 2022 (EIRNS)—Schiller Institute founder and leader Helga Zepp-LaRouche and her mobilization for worldwide unity for a new international security and development architecture serving humanity is clearly feared by the Ukrainian government’s Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) and its State Department/NATO sponsors. It has just come to EIR’s attention that Ukraine’s TSN (in Ukrainian) very popular news program, watched by as much as a third of Ukrainians, ran an attack on Zepp-LaRouche on June 16, 2022, in a story denouncing the invented “Kremlin’s Information Legion.” American Col. Richard Black (ret.) and former Italian Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Leonardo Tricarico (ret.) were also attacked in the TSN program. Both military experts had joined Zepp-LaRouche in the Schiller Institute’s May 26 conference of U.S. and European military and security experts warning of the danger of nuclear war. TSN, in fact, built its allegations for Kremlin ties around brief clips of Zepp-LaRouche and Black speaking in that conference.

TSN cites Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council’s CCD as the source for its story. TSN rants that Russia created a “separate legion ... under its international information special operations” in which these “Western experts” are operating, which is the only reason “Russian lies continue to flow into the information space,” keeping “Kremlin narratives ... still on the front pages of the world’s media.”

Less than a month later, on July 14, the CCD posted its notorious “blacklist” of so-called Kremlin propagandists, with Helga Zepp-LaRouche as second on the list; the first 31 of the 72 people named had all spoken at this year’s Schiller Institute conferences dedicated to creating the grounds for global peace.
