LaRouche Movement Activists Confront AOC on Nuclear Threat and Cowardly Hypocrisy of Democrats

Oct. 13, 2022 (EIRNS)—Two LaRouche movement activists in New York, Kynan Thistlethwaite and José Vega, launched a powerful intervention at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s town hall meeting Wednesday, Oct. 12. In the middle of the meeting, Thistlethwaite, followed by Vega, stood up and denounced AOC for lying as a pawn of the establishment, even as we step to the brink of nuclear war—all while funding and supporting the Nazis in Ukraine. The two demanded that, in a world playing with nuclear confrontation, nothing else mattered right now. In a particularly powerful part, Vega said that he had supported her initially in hopes that she would fight for the people of New York; however, she had instead betrayed him and others. She is now a liar and a tool of the war-hungry establishment.

The extreme response to their intervention has shown that there is at least a strong portion of the United States that does not appreciate being goose-stepped into nuclear war. The Twitter video, as of this evening, has 5.5 million views and has literally hit the nation by storm. Many, many prominent individuals have shared the video online, including Glenn Greenwald, Jimmy Dore, Max Blumenthal, and it has been posted to websites, such as those of the Gateway Pundit, Zero Hedge, Washington Examiner, New York Post, RT, and Fox News. Fox News also began two of their prime time shows—Jesse Waters and Tucker Carlson—with the intervention and extensive discussions of the danger of war.
