Prodi Considers Crisis More Dangerous than Cuban Missile Crisis, We’re Missing JFK’s Wisdom
Jan. 9, 2023, 2022 (EIRNS)—Former Italian Prime Minister and former President of the European Commission Romano Prodi stated today:
“We are currently living through a difficult period, even more dramatic than the one we lived through during the period of tension around Cuba, because there was a kind of balance back then, and let us not forget the wisdom of the U.S. President [John F. Kennedy], who said that the United States was not seeking to convert anyone to anything but some rules were needed so that different realities could co-exist. Now, the conflict is exposing these differences again, the polarization of the world is growing.”
Prodi’s made his timely message at a book presentation of speeches by the late European Parliament President David Sassoli, who died in January 2022. Current European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also addressed the event.
