Russia Charges Ukraine Used Storm Shadow Cruise Missiles To Attack Lugansk

May 14, 2023, 2022 (EIRNS)—Ukrainian missiles hit the former Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Lugansk on May 12 and 13. Initial reports had it that the attackers used Grom missiles, but later it was determined that the missiles were the new Storm Shadow cruise missiles. The Storm Shadow missile has different modifications but can be calibrated for distances of 250 km or 155 miles, depending on the basing requirements. According to CNN, the missiles were delivered to Ukraine on May 11. At that time Lugansk was receiving important visitors, including Viktor Volodatsky, Secretary of the General Council of Putin’s United Russia party, who was slightly injured in the collapse of a building, and Alexey Stolyarov, the son-in-law of Sergei Shoigu.
